September 19, 2011 Monthly Board Meeting Minutes
TOWN OF ERIN PRAIRIE
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2011
The regular, monthly Town of Erin Prairie Board Meeting was called to order at 8:00p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2011 by chairman John Van Dyk at the Erin Prairie Town Hall. Present were board members John Van Dyk and Dennis Mitchell.
Dennis moved to approve the September Meeting agenda and the August Meeting minutes as written. John seconded the motions.
The treasurer’s report indicated there is $158,206.36 available in checking and Touchtone Investments. The bills were presented totaling $9,103.32 with a County Highway Department bill of $1,937.63.
Dennis moved to approve the treasurer’s report and pay the bills as presented, seconded by John.
John mentioned the township could apply for TRIP funds again to aid with a road project. After discussion the decision was made to apply for funding to be received in 2013 to pave 215th Ave. after the work is completed on Hwy. 63.
It was mentioned that brush needs to be removed again in the road ways along 176th. & 178th St. Soft spots in the gravel on 140th Ave. have been identified. The county highway department will be contacted to work on these road issues.
John briefly updated the board on issues that were discussed at several meetings he had attended.
The recommendation was made to move the funds currently in Touchtone Investments to a money market account at First Bank of Baldwin where our checking account is located.
The next meeting is planned for Monday, October 17, 2011 at 8:00p.m.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn at 8:50p.m.
